Ruth Moody, Nicky Mehta and Annabelle Chvostek, around a microphone, are in amazing harmonic balance with each other. And what a wonderful song they picked to perform for us, at our studio, for this project.

The words of Coventry Carol are attributed to Robert Croo in the year 1534. An English melody was attached to it in 1591, but the composer is unknown. Coventry is a village in England where there was a pageant by Shearmen and Tailors depicting Herod?s slaughter of innocents at the time of the birth of Jesus. The Feast of the Holy Innocents is December 28th, and this song may relate to that.
